Dhar ka sandhi
Our 26 km² Indus area is also home to one of the most beautiful sand dunes on earth. It is the birthplace of Swaminar Devi, Mother of all India. In this sand dune, Swaminar Devi is believed to have created Nishadam and Sat Punja in this very spot. It is one of the most important tourist spots of the country and also one of the most popular places to visit during monsoon. To reach the spot, take pada (a boat) from Purne I or Purne II or Bazaar with its famous beach, or walk around to the other side of the hills. Purne II is the most popular destination as it is a famous tourist spot. Purne I is reached through Dhar and Bure and is a must for any visiting tourists. In this sand dune, you can also spot Mother Swaminar, her husband Sat Punja, their two kids Sati and Jan, and the artist Badshah making a living by creating art.
